Being a senior athlete has many positive and some negatives. One negative is saying goodbye to the sport you’ve put so much time and commitment into, and most importantly having to leave your teammates. Senior Alyssa Skorge said, “It’s not about winning or losing. It’s about playing the game you love with your best friends.”
On Thursday September 13, 2018 that’s exactly what the seniors on the girls Jasper Soccer team had to do. Senior night had arrived faster than any of them could have expected, but all great things come to a end and new opportunities open. To make Senior night even more exciting was there big victory over Vincennes Lincoln 4-0. At the end of the game the team gave tribute to the seniors and their families. Happy tears filled everyone’s eyes as the Senior walked onto the field for their last time. Senior Keregyn Masterson said, “Tonight we all came out to play for the seniors. We wanted a big win. We played tough with high spirits.” and that’s exactly what they did.
