Kick Off With Color

Color Wars at Young Life on Monday night left students covered in chocolate, mashed potatoes, and colored paint. To kick off the new Young Life season, students joined at the JET soccer fields to sing, and join in on a colorful war that would leave them ready hose off with the fire truck that came later that night.

 “Its a good time to hang out with friends and learn more about God. The first Club is always special”, stated Nathan Rillo, junior.  Young Life is for students 9-12th grade and is free. It gives them a place to hang out and share relationships with people who share the same values as them.

First the students were welcomed with a song to break any uncomfortable feelings, then got straight into business with a mustard and ketchup fight. The object of the mustard and ketchup fight was to grab as many socks as you could off of other peoples’ feet in the slippery grass. This was followed by flying chocolate and potatoes.  Lastly, every grade received separate colored tubs of paint to splatter onto the opponent grades. The next club is Monday, September 25 @7:11.
