Wildcat Spirit

The student council put together another great event that really exhibited our school spirit. On Friday the student council put together a pep session to recognize all of the winter sports and how well they have done during their seasons this year. The cheerleaders lined up around the sidelines and helped get each grade to show some spirit. Also, the dance team performed their hip hop dance in honor of Frankie Ebenkamp.
“I met Frankie my sophomore year when we had the morning pep session. Right after we performed the dance for the first time, we met up with Frankie’s family and lots of tears were shed as we remembered the great legacy that he left behind. He is the reason for this dance.” said senior, Lydia Shepard.
Frankie was a role model of true Wildcat spirit, and being able to perform a dance in honor of him instills what true pride and spirit looks like.
The student council planned many fun activities to get some of the students from each grade involved. They set up a series of minute to win it games, which included Caddy Stack, Volcano, Stack Attack, This Blows, Junk in My Trunk, Penny Attack, and Face the Cookie. “It was really all luck to just try to catch the Oreo in the air, said junior Simon Samuelsson (pictured right). Each grade competed against other, which made the games a way for the students to have a laugh with our peers outside the classroom and relax.
