The Jasper High School class of 2013 would like to invite their family and friends to join them in celebrating their Commencement on Friday, May 24. Doors will open at 5:45 PM. Commencement begins at 6:30 PM.
Graduating seniors will be provided with 7 tickets per family. A ticket will be required to sit in the lower level of the arena. Staff will be available to assist upon entry. Guests may access the arena from the main entrance on the west side of the building, the south athletic office entrance, or the band entrance on the east side. Handicapped accessibility is available at each entrance. Seating for handicapped is available on the floor for those with a ticket and in the upper level near the stairways. The elevator is located near the band entrance for handicapped guests needing upper level seating. (If you wish to join the choir in Battle Hymn of the Republic, you will want to sit near the SE corner of the gym.)
There are 3 entrances into the primary parking at Jasper High School. Guests may use the 15th street entrance or either entrance on St. Charles. Parking on the south side will be limited by construction. Additional parking is available at the Sports Complex east of the tennis courts. There are other lots within walking distance but JHS has not acquired
We respectfully request that community members desiring to view the facility wait until an Open House has been scheduled later in the summer. There is concern that seating and parking may become an issue unless guests are restricted to family and friends.
Please exit the property cautiously as many will be in a celebratory mood and may be less aware than normal of their surroundings. Police officers will assist at the exit points as well as 15th and St. Charles and the traffic light at St. Charles and Hwy 56. Families wishing to meet up for pictures after the ceremony may meet in the auxiliary gym, located directly east of the main gym and accessible from the upper east corridor.
Family and friends unable to attend commencement may view a live stream here on Wildcat Weekly, and jhsgraduation.com
We are very hopeful this will work but apologize if you experience technical difficulties.
